Inside the infirmary, Lin Han looked at Xue Wushuang with a hint of amusement.
It’s important to note that Han Fei, known as the Long Princess, was an absolute beauty. Compared to his ex-girlfriend Meng Ziyao, she could outshine her by a long shot in terms of looks alone. Not to mention her grace! How could a green tea girl compare to a fairy?
Such a stunning girl had been seen by that fat guy, Fat Cat. Lin Han felt a mix of emotions.
Xue Wushuang finished speaking, his chubby face still slightly flushed, but he appeared quite dejected. He covered his face with his hands in despair. It was over; it seemed he would be doomed to fall into the hands of that fierce woman for the rest of his life. What about my brilliant future?
Seeing Xue Wushuang like this, Lin Han couldn’t help but offer some words of comfort. After all, at least you’re still alive, right?
“Boss, if you really can’t comfort someone, can you at least say something that sounds human?” Xue Wushuang looked at Lin Han with a resentful gaze, which made Lin Han chuckle.
“Alright, I won’t tease you anymore. It’s just that you saw something you shouldn’t have. Don’t panic; she’ll probably beat you up and then let you go.”
“You don’t understand; Han Fei is the precious darling of the Military Academy. Do you know who her grandfather is?” Lin Han raised an eyebrow.
“Han Fei’s grandfather? Han Gu? Old Man Han? He’s a big shot even within the Military Department. The Military Academy is merely a place that supplies talent to the Military Department. That man has a say throughout the entire Military Department.”
As Xue Wushuang spoke more, he grew increasingly dejected and regretful. If only he hadn’t been unable to hold it in and had ventured into that little grove at that moment. Now he had seen something he shouldn’t have; it felt like everything was ruined!
Everyone must follow the rules. Come on, pull yourself together. Han Fei and I have agreed to settle our scores in the Freshman Competition against our Dragon Tooth Squad. By then, all grudges will be wiped clean.
Lin Han cleared his throat, his tone serious.
"Freshman Competition?"
Xue Wushuang's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Lin, did that fierce woman really say that?"
"Do you not believe me? Don’t worry; there were plenty of witnesses. She wouldn’t dare to say it outright if she wanted to save face. The priority now is to prepare for the Freshman Competition. Improving our strength is key."
As Lin Han spoke, he stood up and prepared to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"Where else? Back to the dormitory to rest. I just finished a mission and I'm exhausted. There’s still plenty of time before the competition."
Xue Wushuang was nearly in tears, her voice trembling.
"Lin, the Freshman Competition is the day after tomorrow! Are you really going to sleep now without practicing team coordination?"
"The day after tomorrow? That soon?" Lin Han frowned.
"It’s a tradition at the academy. Before classes start, we hold the Freshman Competition. It’s an opportunity for students to showcase their abilities and for instructors to scout talent."
"There will definitely be some dark horses trying to grab attention, and after the Freshman Competition, there will be challenges from senior students as well. Don’t you know this?"
"Of course I do," Lin Han replied, clearing his throat. "Since you’re feeling better now, go outside and call the other team members. We’ll start training this afternoon!"
As Lin Han said this, he strode towards the door and pulled it open forcefully.
Suddenly, a voice exclaimed, "Ouch!"
