The Heavenly Emperor, Gu Nian, inadvertently caused the death of his beloved woman while trying to protect his brother. Fu Xiu sacrificed his brother, Long Yuan, in a desperate attempt to save his wife, leading to his brother's heartbreak and his own descent into darkness. Qing Qing only wished to live and be with her loved one, yet she became the scapegoat, paying an unbearable price.
The Heavenly Queen appeared to be the instigator, but from her perspective, it was her husband's love for another woman that drove her to madness. This was a closed loop, ensnaring each participant at critical moments, leaving no way out.
The subsequent developments were nothing short of chaotic. The Heavenly Emperor returned to the Imperial Court and immediately set out to deal with the Phoenix Clan. Despite their lack of strength, the Dragon Clan was thriving and had plenty of manpower. The Phoenix Clan understood that provoking the Heavenly Emperor meant they had to be on high alert; after all, these two clans had dominated the heavenly realm for countless years and were not easily disposed of.
Though there was no open conflict, both sides suffered significant losses behind the scenes. Moreover, with Fu Xiu targeting Long Feng specifically, both clans faced devastating setbacks and began their decline.
Qing Qing ascended to the heavenly realm but remained fixated on dying. She was repeatedly thwarted by the Heavenly Emperor until despair finally struck—she was pregnant. Not only Qing Qing but even the Heavenly Emperor was bewildered; the higher one's power, the more difficult it was to conceive offspring. And for the Dragon Clan, which had a challenging bloodline inheritance, this was even more complicated.
Qing Qing was a Tai Chu Ling; surviving herself was already difficult enough—how could she give birth to a hybrid of Tai Chu and the Dragon Clan? Without self-harm, Qing Qing wouldn't live long anyway; this child was voraciously consuming everything from her body—not out of malice but as a survival instinct.
At this point, Qing Qing surprisingly calmed down. Day by day, she watched as life grew stronger within her while she grew weaker. The pregnancy did not last long; when her body became depleted, it would fight for its own survival.
On the day of childbirth, the ancestral dragon soul of the Dragon Clan manifested in the Ancestral Domain and left behind a prophecy: "Transforming a flood dragon into a true dragon; only an emperor can have twins!"
While the Heavenly Emperor and Long Chang were puzzled by its meaning, Qing Qing gave birth to a child. Long Chang immediately sealed off the palace area so that no one could witness it; that child was born as conjoined twins.
As they gazed at the manifestation in the air resembling two flowers on one stem, Yun Shijiu's eyes nearly popped out of her head. Gripping Yun Zhi Yue's arm tightly, she exclaimed: "Sister, that's the second child's body! The hideous black-red gradient—I absolutely won't mistake it! It's definitely the second child!"
Yun Zhi Yue trembled uncontrollably; those were conjoined twins—one flower was a vibrant purple mandala, clearly representing Yue Qi's form.
Another flower on the branch was clearly Yue Shi Ti!
They were brothers, or perhaps it could be said that they were one entity!
Yue Qi and Yue Shi—their names were so similar. It was a name she had blurted out in a moment of thought, perhaps it was fate after all.
At this moment, Qing Qing's cultivation was insufficient to sustain them; at this rate, these twin flowers would not survive.
