Amidst the laughter, Shen Xingchuan set down his chopsticks and stood up to head upstairs. Yun Zhi Yue immediately got up to follow him, saying, "Shen Xingchuan, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bring up your sad memories. Please don't be mad at me. You said you liked me the most."
"Don't ignore me," Shen Xingchuan replied.
The sweetness in her voice sent a shiver down everyone's spine. Feng Ling felt that the food had lost its flavor and swallowed hard, saying, "So I misunderstood the captain. Marrying a woman like this must be a relief when they get divorced, right?"
Having been through it all, Ouyang Yan remarked with interest, "Maybe they actually enjoy each other’s company."
In the room on the top floor, Shen Xingchuan gripped Yun Zhi Yue by the neck and demanded, "Why do you let me have my way in the supermarket? What do I mean to you?"
With a smile, Yun Zhi Yue began to loosen her clothing, revealing herself bit by bit before Shen Xingchuan's eyes. "Are you stupid? My body is yours; my things are yours too."
"Shen Xingchuan, I just like to act up. Don't be so fragile. Next time you get angry, just punish me harshly. But please don’t really push me away; that would make me sad too."
Her words burned in his ears, and Shen Xingchuan pressed her down onto the bed fiercely, saying in a low voice, "Yun Zhi Yue, you said this yourself. If there’s a next time, I’ll make you wish you were dead. Do you understand?"
The three words "Do you understand?" echoed painfully in her mind. She was already crying when Shen Xingchuan asked again, fearing she wouldn’t remember it deeply enough.
That day lasted until closing time; everyone gradually left and set up tents around the supermarket but hadn’t seen Shen Xingchuan come out.
Ouyang Yan wore a knowing expression and felt quite pleased. Feng Ling was puzzled and couldn’t understand why their captain would like someone like her.
The next day during business hours, everyone entered and was shocked to see the cafeteria scene. Yun Zhi Yue was being held by Shen Xingchuan at his legs while he fed her as if she were completely helpless. The strange tension between them had vanished.
It felt as if pink bubbles surrounded them; getting closer revealed that Yun Zhi Yue's attire could not hide the marks on her body from last night.
Damn it, they’re back together!
Ouyang Yan laughed as he approached them. "Sister-in-law and Shen Xingchuan have reconciled! That's truly wonderful news. Maintaining a relationship is never easy; cherish each other while you're both alive."
Yun Zhi Yue replied oddly, "If I remember correctly, didn’t you say last time that this kind of man isn’t worth keeping? That I should find someone better? What’s with this woman? She always gives me a familiar feeling."
Ouyang Yan wasn’t embarrassed at all: "I didn’t know your story well back then; I genuinely thought Shen Xingchuan treated you poorly. Now that your misunderstandings are resolved, it’s a great joy."
"Sister-in-law, when are you coming to Ning'an Base? I’ll arrange for you to have another wedding banquet so that you two can finally be together."
The eyes of the others at the base suddenly turned sharp. Ouyang Yan, that woman, was truly shameless. Was she really going to rely on her looks to get by at Yun's Supermarket?
Yun Zhi Yue sensed these gazes and tightened her hold on Shen Xingchuan, feeling a deep reluctance.
We still have four days together; after that, who knows when we will meet again? Shen Xingchuan, you better take care of yourself. If I find out you’re cheating, next time it won’t just be your face that gets ruined, understand?
Ouyang Yan's eyes flickered slightly. She wanted to ask more, but then she saw Shen Xingchuan holding Yun Zhi Yue tightly, his gaze icy as he stared at her.
Clearing her throat, she decided to find another opportunity to ask.
The others at the base felt relieved upon hearing this. Rather than letting Ning'an Base dominate alone, they would prefer that no one got anything at all.
