At Ning'an Base, the vice-captain, Wen Yu, held several photographs as he approached the man smoking by the window, adjusting his Silver Rimmed Glasses.
"You've heard about Yun's Supermarket, right? Zombies can exchange shopping vouchers one-to-one based on their weight. Those who have been there say it’s a large supermarket, with everything from fresh produce to home goods. If the items inside are truly inexhaustible, the owner will become the target of all bases. In this apocalypse, supplies are life; she alone could sustain the entire world."
Various factions had sent people to investigate the truth of the matter, and our base couldn't miss out on this opportunity. The higher-ups had decided that Yun Zhi Yue must be utilized for Ning'an Base, and you are to lead the team.
Seeing that Captain Shen Xingchuan remained silent, Wen Yu handed over the photographs.
"In this apocalypse, big data has mostly collapsed, but I still managed to find some information. Yun Zhi Yue was married," he said, not revealing too much. He patted Shen Xingchuan on the shoulder before leaving. "I've destroyed all the data; no one will find out."
The man by the window held his cigarette tightly, looking down at the photographs in his hand. The girl in them smiled sweetly as if she had never encountered darkness. As the cigarette burned down to his fingertips, he remained motionless.
Finally, he crumpled the photo in his hand, distorting that sweet smile before turning to leave.
At that moment, Yun Zhi Yue was not as mysterious as rumored; she pushed a cart full of goods, drenched in sweat. Managing a five-story supermarket alone was nothing like she had imagined!
The first floor was filled with fresh produce and various foods; the second floor had clothing; the third was stocked with medicines; the fourth was a special area that had yet to open; and on the fifth floor, she had made her sleeping quarters.
She initially intended to run a food supermarket and never thought it would escalate to this level. Yet, without any external help from the Reincarnation Stone, she found herself under the watchful eye of World Will. With its last ounce of strength, it magnified her wish—at a cost: she had to restore normalcy to the world.
This felt like forced labor; she hadn’t even made a wish! Why should she bear the burden of saving the world? The Reincarnation Stone was already laughing at her in madness.
World Will was also betting on its own survival. If things continued normally, as time passed in this apocalypse, the world would collapse further until Dimension faced inevitable destruction.
Then Yun Zhi Yue arrived. The aura of the underworld surrounding her was worth betting on for World Will. But saving the world wasn’t something that could be accomplished merely through words.
This Dimension was filled with Zombies; humanity accounted for only one-tenth of it. She wanted to restore normalcy—she couldn’t leave a single Zombie alive! Wiping out nine-tenths of Zombies worldwide? What an overwhelming number!
She alone? What a joke!
Due to the World Will forcibly fulfilling her wishes, they had formed a contract; if she didn’t comply, even the Reincarnation Stone wouldn’t allow her to leave.
There was no choice but to use resources to entice these people into helping her kill the Zombies.
She was the most unique yet also the unluckiest fighter in the entire Dimension.
At seven fifty in the morning, a line of individuals with varying expressions stood outside the Zaoyun Supermarket, waiting for the boss lady to open up. Each of them carried a large box that reeked of decay and blood.
In this Dimension, there was no ex-boyfriend, ha.
