Yun Shijiu and Yue Shi stood together, watching as they were surrounded by the Feng Clan People. In a hurry, he shouted, "Sister, where are the reinforcements? At this rate, you won't have a brother anymore!"
Yun Zhi Yue glanced below and shouted simultaneously with the Soul Reincarnation Stone, "Underworld Gate, open!"
It was bright and sunny just moments before, but suddenly it grew dark. The lush green grass quickly withered away, and black ripples spread outward in thickening circles. A pure black door of unknown material appeared abruptly on the grassy ground, as if it had always been there.
As the ground door slowly opened, Gong Ye Lian's face turned ashen despite having anticipated this; cracks began to appear on his body. How could a lower realm Dimension withstand a connection to the Underworld?
Feng Rujiao halted her attack mid-air, her eyes filled with astonishment. "You dare to open the Underworld Gate in a Dimension? The World Will will not spare you."
Yun Zhi Yue stole a glance at the pale-faced Gong Ye Lian and nervously replied, "It's none of your business."
Under the watchful eyes of the Phoenix Clan members, the black door continued to open slowly. Numerous figures emerged that resembled humans but lacked whites in their eyes; their eye sockets were two dark voids that made them appear inhuman.
At the forefront stood a man in an ancient robe with a black base and silver patterns. A thumb-sized piece of white jade hung from his chest, intricately carved to resemble a woman. His half-long hair was loosely tied at the ends and draped elegantly over his left shoulder. Despite his deep and striking mixed heritage looks, his vintage attire created a stunning visual clash.
Mo Lan's gaze was fixed on Yun Zhi Yue, his handsome face curling into a slightly bloody smile. Yun Zhi Yue was taken aback by his striking appearance; Song Huai had seemingly transformed into someone else in the Underworld. Wow, he looked incredibly handsome—like a dashing figure from the Republic era.
Yun Zhi Yue felt her heart flutter at the sound of his captivating voice calling out to her, compelling her to respond as she descended from the air.
"Ah Huai."
He caught her in his arms as she fell in her white ceremonial dress. Without hesitation, Song Huai pulled her close and pressed his lips against hers in an intense kiss.
With so many watching, Yun Zhi Yue felt embarrassed. But knowing that Song Huai wouldn’t stay for long and uncertain when they would meet again, she felt a pang of sweetness in her heart and wrapped her arms around his neck in response.
The onlookers were baffled by how this had shifted from an action scene to a romantic one; they could only watch helplessly.
Seeing their interaction, Feng Rujiao paused for a moment before looking up at Nie Zhui on the platform, who remained silent. She began to laugh again, her laughter dripping with mockery.
Aside from Feng Rujiao's loss of composure, another person could barely contain themselves. If not for Yun Shijiu and Yun Yue Shi restraining them—one covering their mouth while the other held them back—they would have charged forward long ago.
Nie Xi's eyes were bloodshot as he struggled madly; murderous intent radiated from him even as he watched Song Huai kissing Yun Zhi Yue.
Yun Shijiu realized that Nie Xi had truly lost it; his arm was nearly dislocated from pulling so hard.
He quickly whispered in his ear, "Don't go crazy. That man is also you; it's just that your souls have merged. My sister has only ever had you as a man. We came here to help you gather your soul; you will eventually become one."
Nie Xi's struggle suddenly halted, his pupils constricting sharply. He and that man were the same person!
Yun Zhi Yue, realizing this too late, noticed Nie Xi was still watching. She hurriedly pushed Song Huai away and turned back, feeling awkward and unsure of how to explain.
Song Huai, filled with possessiveness, tightly embraced Yun Zhi Yue and looked around, saying, "There's not much time left; finish this quickly."
Behind them, the pitch-black Hellish Evil Spirit lunged out, grabbing the Feng Clan people and tearing into them. Despite their bodies showing no visible wounds, they all let out horrific cries of anguish.
