Yun Zhi Yue was inherently strange. Although he had transformed into a human, he was still Yu Yue, whose body was permeated with spiritual energy. It could be said that he still had the upper hand; compared to the average human, especially Shijiu, there was no need to elaborate on who was superior. Naturally, the one who provoked would end up suffering.
A dagger tinged with a hint of purple light flew through the air. Although it wasn’t particularly fast, the opponent couldn’t dodge it in time and ended up getting pierced through the palm of his hand as he tried to block.
Before the meeting even began, blood had already stained the table.
The two friends across from him had long abandoned their real names. They were known as Xing Yue, which symbolized the essence of Xing Yue. At that moment, it was Xing who had been pierced; he hadn’t uttered a word while Yue dramatically flicked his fingers like a delicate orchid and slammed his palm on the table.
In a voice that lacked any authority, he said, “Yu Yue, after your trip to Gui Jing, your strength has indeed increased. But it’s still not your turn to act arrogant. You’ve hurt my Xing; tell me how you want to die.”
Yun Zhi Yue raised his own delicate fingers and replied in a teasing tone, “Is that how you assert yourself? I don’t feel any pressure from your words. Just say it—how do you want to kill me? I can accept anything.”
Laurel hugged himself tightly, goosebumps covering his exposed skin. With an expression of disbelief, he exclaimed, “Yu Yue! Are you even normal? After going to Gui Jing, you came back possessed by a ghost! The Yin Qi around you is so heavy!”
Yun Zhi Yue found it hard to refute that statement; it struck at the heart of the matter.
Song Huai fixed his gaze intently on Yu Yue, whose appearance was tightly wrapped like a dumpling. His blue eyes seemed to darken like the deep sea—Laurel’s words had clearly hit a nerve.
Seeing Yun Zhi Yue mimic him so perfectly made Yue furious. However, before he could explode, the Handsome Man in the wheelchair spoke up.
“Let’s not delay further; we can continue after entering the Eerie Game. The meeting is about to start. In front of high-ranking officials from various nations, there’s no harm in putting on a show of harmony.”
It seemed this man was taking charge. As soon as he finished speaking, his friend shot Yun Zhi Yue a glance and took a seat.
Yun Zhi Yue turned his attention back to himself as the Wheelchair Man continued, “I’ve heard you’ve regained your memories. Let’s reintroduce ourselves: I’m Xian Kong; this little girl is Chen Xi; and the old man is Gu Xiu. The other two don’t need introductions.”
Yun Zhi Yue nodded in acknowledgment. “All your names are quite nice. I have indeed regained my memories. Regardless of past grudges with anyone here, let’s wipe the slate clean. If there are unresolved issues, take them up with Song Huai; we’re all in this together.”
Laurel’s eyes lit up as he immediately raised his hand and said, “Count me in! Although I haven’t regained my memories, I’m part of this too! If you’re looking for trouble, just go to Song Huai.”
These two fools seemed to treat Song Huai like some kind of scapegoat—a thought shared by everyone present at that moment.
Yet surprisingly, Song Huai didn’t refute them; instead, he continued staring at Yu Yue, who looked like a tightly wrapped dumpling.
The term “part of this” felt too trivial; they needed to offer more than that.
With nothing to lose and wearing Yu Yue’s skin as a shield, Yun Zhi Yue felt free to flaunt himself however he wished.
“What do you want?” he asked nonchalantly.
"You're not saying you want to strip and seduce me, are you? You can give it a try."
Pfft!
Cough, cough, cough!
There was more than one or two people who spat out their drinks at the table. Even the cup in Yun Zhi Yue's hand fell to the ground as she looked at Song Huai in disbelief. Had he gone mad?
Even if there were doubts, it shouldn't be like this. After all, this was Yu Yue's body—was he really that hungry? Could he even eat something like this?
Feeling completely awkward and at a loss for words, Yun Zhi Yue was relieved when the high-ranking officials from various countries arrived, putting an end to this absurd conversation. She pretended she hadn't heard anything and didn't want to hear it; it was simply grating on her ears.
After a passionate and inspiring speech from the leaders, they used their rhetorical skills to elevate the ten of them to great heights.
