Yu Yue had never formed a team before; he had been hunting solo, taking down small groups of three without knowing how many he had encountered. When they realized he had killed their third teammate, they immediately expressed their sincerity and invited Yu Yue to join them.
Yu Yue accepted the invitation, and his displayed strength made them wary. It was no wonder they harbored ambitions of wiping him out when they first met; they never expected that a mere guide would be enough to challenge them. Not to mention that Yu Yue seemed to be assisting that guide.
Currently, the large group was searching for the Red Umbrella in Yu City, and their efficiency had significantly increased. Most small teams would avoid them at all costs if they encountered them. Those who were truly blind would end up meeting their demise, and the lifespan of the Wang Family Brothers was extending as a result.
However, Yun Zhi Yue noticed something peculiar: the lifespan of the chubby and thin brothers was dropping much faster than Liu Ying's. Later, Liu Ying explained that the longer they stayed in Gui Jing, the more violations they committed, causing their lifespan to decrease at an accelerated rate.
There had once been a player trapped in Gui Jing for years who eventually went insane, killing anyone he encountered and wreaking havoc on the streets. Within half a day, he lost over three years of his lifespan, washed away like rainwater, leaving no trace behind.
These were all hidden rules; in simple terms, lives were sacrificed to uncover them. If lives weren't lost to fill the gaps, later players would continue to trigger these rules.
The more Yun Zhi Yue learned about Gui Jing, the stranger it felt. Although every Gui Jing was a perilous place with different gameplay styles, they generally emphasized randomness. This particular Gui Jing resembled a miniature version of Eerie Game; every aspect seemed meticulously designed, giving off an impression of careful planning.
Aside from the guide's need for evolving intelligence akin to humans, the oddities of Eerie Game mostly leaned towards spontaneity. It could be powerful but lacked cunning; it often acted directly without the human tendency to scheme or manipulate.
In a prolonged confinement with limited lifespans and fierce competition for survival, wasn't every aspect a manipulation of human emotions? The strangeness of this Gui Jing was indeed unsettlingly out of place.
Three teams needed to capture the Red Umbrella. With Bai Miao Miao's assistance over the past two weeks, they were close to their goal and estimated they would complete it within two days.
For some unknown reason, heavy rain began to pour outside. The rain was corrosive; even using an umbrella would cause splashes. Thus, everyone sought refuge in an apartment building.
The apartment had many rooms. Yun Zhi Yue casually chose one and entered, only for someone to follow closely behind her.
Yun Zhi Yue sighed in resignation. "Can we not do this? It's a rainy day; it's perfect for sleeping. I don't want to move."
Song Huai smirked. "You don’t need to move; just sleep."
What kind of nonsense was that? In such circumstances, unless one was faint from excitement, who could possibly sleep?
Song Huai clearly had no intention of stopping; he began to undress her and leaned down to kiss her chest. His fingers danced over her taut body like playing a stringed instrument, quickly leaving Yun Zhi Yue's body feeling soft and pliable under his touch.
As the two were caught up in their moment, Yu Yue knocked on the door, saying, "Sister, come out! I need to talk to you."
What a ridiculous matter; she probably saw Song Huai enter her room and wanted to cause trouble.
Although she knew this, Yun Zhi Yue had no intention of continuing and was just about to take the opportunity to sleep. She planned to simply push Song Huai out and keep them at a distance from each other.
However, Song Huai's gaze darkened like Mo Lan's, as he pressed her against the door. Yu Yue stood just outside.
Yun Zhi Yue let out a startled cry that Yu Yue heard clearly. The wooden door, which he could easily break through, trembled before him.
Yu Yue's expression turned visibly sinister as the silver chain wrapped around her wrist was about to touch the wooden door.
