The players were astonished as they earned Eerie Coins! It was known that Eerie Coins could only be obtained through completing quests, discovering important objects at scenic spots, or finding hidden items, making them quite rare.
Although the guide accompanied them throughout, they never showed favoritism towards the players and generally remained uninvolved. This left everyone puzzled, but no one dared to ask questions; it was a significant matter, and no one wanted to be left behind.
Some suspected that Yun Zhi Yue had ulterior motives. There were other players around Ri Ni Tang who had already spoken about the events that had transpired there. A loud crash echoed as something hit the wall. Then came Shijiu's startled cry: "Grandma!"
Unfazed, Yun Zhi Yue continued forward while the others obediently followed. It appeared that their guide was quite angry, which contrasted sharply with his outward calmness. This indirectly suggested that what the villagers had said might indeed be true—the guide and travelers were caught up in something strange and otherworldly. But was it real or not?
Once outside the courtyard, the eerie surroundings became clearer; it wasn't quite like day but resembled a normal moonlit night where they could see each other.
Yun Zhi Yue put away the lantern and walked ahead on his own, quickly leading everyone to a Mud Pit. They hadn’t gone far when he stopped at a relatively small Mud Pit.
"Let’s fill this Mud Pit," he declared.
Wait—were they really going to dig at this hour?
Miao Miao was the first to take action; she began shoveling dirt from around and tossing it inside. Seeing this, everyone else followed suit—if they could earn Eerie Coins from this effort, then a little labor was worth it.
With many hands working together, it didn’t take long for them to cover the Mud Pit with a thick layer of soil after about an hour of hard work.
Everyone was still wondering how much they needed to fill out before they could consider the task complete when the sudden announcement of Eerie Game stunned everyone.
Xiao He Village had experienced a collapse of fifty percent, which would significantly increase the difficulty of the game. This collapse affected travelers, and each would be rewarded with five hundred Eerie Coins. Note: When the collapse reaches one hundred percent, all anomalies in Xiao He Village will be eradicated.
