Yun Zhi Yue waved his hand, and a luxurious main bed surrounded by black gauze appeared in mid-air, untouched by any filth from the room. In the blink of an eye, he was already sitting at the edge of the bed, looking down at them and saying, "You have one more minute. Any questions?"
Everyone stared at the grand bed that seemed to defy logic. Who could still have any objections? Compared to the bizarre situation, they felt like mere ants. Each person began to take out their survival gear; aside from the newcomers who had little Eerie Coin, most others had some supplies.
Sleeping bags, mattresses, and various bedding items materialized one by one, and everyone started to claim their spots. Soon enough, arguments broke out. With over twenty people sleeping together, disputes arose over who would sleep where—who would be on the sides, who would be in the middle, and other issues like gender separation created a tense atmosphere.
Yun Zhi Yue sat on his floating bed, resting his chin on his hand as he watched the scene unfold with boredom. Tsk tsk, whether they could survive the first day was still up in the air, but these people certainly had energy.
He noticed Bai Miao Miao huddled in a corner with her backpack, silent and hesitant to approach. She was dressed lightly and had no outerwear to lay down; the only useful piece of clothing she had was tossed aside after she ate her small cake. It felt a bit unfair to her.
With another casual wave of his hand, a simple single bed appeared in mid-air. "A gift of clothes and cake; go ahead," he said suddenly.
The unexpected words silenced everyone.
Bai Miao Miao pointed incredulously at herself and stammered, "Is this for me?"
Yun Zhi Yue remained silent, looking at her as if she were a foolish creature. Bai Miao Miao's face turned crimson; she knew her question was silly but couldn’t help but feel disbelief.
Although it was her first time in the Eerie Game, she understood that outside this place, tour guides never cared about players' lives.
She whispered a soft "thank you."
Bai Miao Miao approached with her backpack but froze awkwardly; since the bed was suspended in mid-air, she could barely touch its edge but couldn’t climb up.
Yun Zhi Yue sighed, and suddenly the edge of the bed transformed into a ladder. Bai Miao Miao's eyes lit up as she quickly grabbed it and climbed up. "Yun Zhi Yue, thank you."
Yun Zhi Yue blinked; oh, this child was quite good at ingratiating herself—she wasn’t foolish after all. Leaning back onto the grand bed and burrowing under the covers, he added casually, "If anyone disturbs my sleep, I’ll throw them into the eerie pile."
No one dared to argue anymore; they cast envious glances at Bai Miao Miao while quietly organizing their things.
Song Huai and Jiang Bai had no intention of sleeping on the dirty floor; instead, they set up an exaggerated bunk bed on the ground—Jiang Bai took the lower bunk while Song Huai claimed the upper one.
Due to the low height of the room, the upper bunk was almost level with the large bed of Yun Zhi Yue. This fellow had even aligned the bunk bed with Yun Zhi Yue's bed, and under Jiang Bai's deathly glare, he climbed up to sneak a peek at the sleeping face hidden behind the black gauze curtains.
Jiang Bai reflected on whether his alliance with Song Huai was a rash decision. This guy was acting strangely; he wouldn't drag him down with him, would he?
In the Eerie World, time could not be measured like in the normal world, where day and night followed a predictable pattern. For instance, when they first entered the village, it had clearly been morning, yet outside now was a starry night. Without a doubt, they were experiencing their first night in this strange realm.
However, this night felt exceptionally long; it seemed as if ten hours had passed, yet dawn showed no signs of approaching. The young man was used to eating grains and had normal bodily needs. They all understood the dangers lurking around them and were holding back, planning to wait until morning to resolve their issues. But morning simply refused to come.
Finally, unable to endure any longer, a young couple who seemed to know each other...
