This was unacceptable. After all, it was her home. Zhi Yue Fei Ying stood up, ready to leave the classroom. Her swift movements faltered at the door, her body trembling slightly as she grasped the doorknob and turned back to face them. "My lord..."
Yuhun Gu closed the book in his hands. "Your father can't resolve this issue; going back would only lead to your demise or give others a chance to manipulate him. Stay in the academy."
Zhi Yue Fei Ying retorted angrily, "I can't just stand by and do nothing! I need to find out where that batch of medicine went. Let me leave!"
Anjie Ryougu slammed his hand on the table. "Enough! The lord is doing this for you. What kind of attitude is that when speaking to him?"
Zhi Yue Fei Ying scoffed, "It's not your family that's in danger. If you're not worried, then what's wrong with my attitude? There are also Ryo Miyako and the Vampire Clan attacking my family. What are you pretending for? Enjoying this, are you?"
"You are utterly unreasonable!" Anjie Ryougu's anger flared as he kicked over a chair and bowed slightly to Yuhun Gu before storming out through the back door.
Natsuki Watanabe pulled out her lollipop, a teasing smile spreading across her sweet face. "Yun Zhi Yue, this is where you went wrong. Although we all follow the lord's orders not to target the Higan Sakura Clan, Anjie has been trying to stop Ryo Miyako and the Vampire Clan from acting against you. He doesn't actually dislike you."
Suddenly, the lollipop in her hand exploded, leaving a bloody mark across her beautiful face. Natsuki Watanabe's expression changed dramatically.
Wanye Watanabe, with his orange hair, immediately stood up and bowed to Yuhun Gu, pulling his younger sister Natsuki along as they quickly slipped out through the back door.
Gray Bird Suzuki, with his delicate features and an appearance that suggested fragility, covered his lips with a dagger, perhaps secretly relieved he hadn’t spoken too much.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying paid no attention to the hidden meanings in their words; she simply didn’t have the mental space for it at that moment.
In her mind, she contemplated: since Yuhun Gu had spoken up, three Vampire Clans would refrain from taking action. Excluding those loyal to Shen Le Qi, only three clans remained. If they didn’t resort to lethal force directly, she should be able to hold out at home for a while. The immediate concern was finding out where that batch of medicine had gone and why her father couldn’t explain it clearly.
Lost in thought, she completely overlooked her target’s intentions of helping her; she didn’t react at all.
Suddenly, her body collided into Yuhun Gu's embrace as he caught her chin, his crimson eyes reflecting a hint of displeasure.
"Who are you thinking about?"
Zhi Yue Fei Ying jolted at his gaze and immediately felt tears welling up in her eyes as she said softly, "You’re so wonderful, my lord, but I still want to go home and take a look."
"No, starting tomorrow, you will stay in the dormitory and go nowhere."
The moment Zhi Yue Fei Ying felt touched, it vanished. With a sharp motion, she slapped away Yuhun Gu's hand that was gripping her chin. Her tone was icy as she said, "Yun Zhi Yue, you are going back to the dormitory."
The sinister expression on Yuhun Gu's face was unmistakable as she strode past Dean, who was merely a background figure, leaving through the front door with an air of confidence.
"What kind of attitude is that? Even if you're concerned about this lifetime's family, you can't forget that your main task is to conquer your target. Your progress is crucial; this world is truly bizarre."
"You don’t understand anything. What’s the point of just passively accepting everything? Yuhun Gu is a Pureblood and is used to being treated with utmost respect. I need to keep things fresh for her and ignite her desire to conquer; otherwise, I won't be able to increase my remaining affinity."
The Reincarnation Stone fell silent for a moment before simply saying three words: "You're impressive."
Once Yuhun Gu spoke up, there was no way she could leave this academy. She tried calling home, but the line was unreachable.
