In front of the mural depicting the human figure, Yu Yu fell silent.
[The level of affection, ha ha, I guess this is a hint of sympathy. What does it feel like to be a wall-mounted little one?]
[Get lost!]
Her dark red eyes lit up, and the figure on the wall fell directly down. Yu Yu showed no intention of reaching out to catch it, and Zhi Yue Fei Ying was furious, ready to explode.
Imagining her body as a cannonball, she launched herself at Yu Yu's shadowy form in the dark night. Yu Yu narrowed her eyes slightly; the body that had fallen seemed intent on being sealed back into the wall.
Zhi Yue Fei Ying's blood-red eyes opened wide as she activated the Wind Domain of the Higan Sakura Clan, forcefully breaking through Yu Yu's lackadaisical control and crashing onto her.
With all her strength, she wrapped her arms around Yu Yu's neck, her feet leaving the ground entirely.
Crimson Eyes flashed with grievance: "My lord, I know I joined you last, but my loyalty to the Higan Sakura Clan is evident. You can't favor them over me or dislike me."
Even with such intimacy between them, Yu Yu merely glanced down at her without any intention to speak and walked straight out of the dormitory, seemingly heading to class.
Still hanging onto Yu Yu's neck, Zhi Yue Fei Ying thought: "Am I just air?"
[Come on, can this Dimension get any better?]
[Gaga, this is hilarious! Is it tasty?]
With her stubbornness kicking in, Zhi Yue Fei Ying refused to let go, clinging on like a ghost.
Yu Yu was tall and slender; having her hang on made no difference to her stride. As they neared the classroom, Zhi Yue Fei Ying still didn’t loosen her grip, causing a brief ripple in Yu Yu's dark red eyes.
[The level of affection—uh, your stubbornness; the target of affection probably really likes that.]
Zhi Yue Fei Ying beamed with pride: "Well then, last Dimension Jian Qinzhi liked it immensely."
As the classroom door swung open, pairs of Blood Eyes went wide with shock; even the seasoned Human Blood Hunter lecturing paused in confusion.
Who dared to be so close to Yu Yu? Were they courting death? The vampire’s recovery was terrifying; just last night she had nearly beaten Anjie Ryougu to death, and now he was fully revived.
Seeing her like this, he exploded: "Outrageous! Zhi Yue Fei Ying, how dare you touch my lord like that! Absolutely unforgivable—die!"
Surrounded by thorny brambles that seemed to grow from her very anger, Anjie Ryougu stood at the center of the classroom.
Seeing the situation spiral out of control, the Instructor at the podium pulled out a three-meter-long staff and used it to block the thorns.
"Anjie Ryougu, I don’t care what grievances you have; this is class time. You are here to learn, so sit down and be quiet!"
A look of disdain flickered in Anjie Ryougu's eyes; she regarded the mere human before her as insignificant.
As her dark red gaze swept across the room, Anjie Ryougu immediately deflated, the thorns vanishing as she sulked back into her seat, too angry to act out further.
Yu Yu had remained silent throughout, moving to his spot by the window.
As he sat down, the ghostly figure Zhi Yue Fei Ying bent and curled up onto his lap, nestling into his embrace.
Despite the intimate posture, Yu Yu seemed oblivious to any discomfort and simply opened a book, continuing with the lesson.
The Blood Hunt Instructor's cheek twitched slightly as he chose to ignore the scene unfolding before him, focusing instead on writing on the blackboard and explaining some tedious history about vampires and humans.
With a classroom full of vampires, no one was truly paying attention; all eyes were fixed on that one seat by the window.
The vampires from the Top Ten Clans exchanged glances filled with intrigue.
