Yun Zhi Yue smiled: "Because I wanted to please Uncle Ji."

Ji Yan’s peach blossom eyes flickered: "You know Ran Yun is mine; what do you mean by 'please'?"
Yun Zhi Yue felt a bit awkward: "Uncle Ji, I'm short on cash. Can you help me find something quick money-wise? Just not something that would benefit my reputation."
Ji Yan was a bit surprised. "Short on money? With your top-tier status, you should be financially free. Are you facing some difficulties?"
"Well, sort of. The contract I signed with Sheng has some unfair terms. I don't want to go into it too much; I just want to earn a bit more money. Jiji Uncle, can you help me out?"
Ji Yan reached out and ruffled her hair. "So that's what you're after. You've really grown up, huh? Alright, making money isn't that hard."
He glanced at the jade necklace around her neck and stroked his chin thoughtfully. "I've got it! Let's go gamble on some stones."
Yun Zhi Yue was taken aback. "Gamble on stones? Isn't that a game where you lose nine out of ten times?"
Ji Yan raised an eyebrow. "You're the one who will be the exception to that rule."
Yun Zhi Yue obediently followed Ji Yan, thinking to herself how confident he was. She hoped he wouldn't end up losing all her capital.
She really was in need of money.
Suddenly, the scene before her shifted as Ji Yan radiated a dazzling golden light that left Yun Zhi Yue gaping in awe.
"See? Ji Yan is practically overflowing with fortune. Just walking around could lead him to find gold. You can relax now."
