Sun Xiaoyue liked Yue Tong. He was a cold person, even more so than Nan Jing, and in class, he only interacted with me, ignoring everyone else. Slowly, Sun Xiaoyue became uncomfortable.
Zhou Yu raised an eyebrow. "Is that all? What happened next? How did you end up in the police station?"
Yun Zhi Yue sighed. "Don't underestimate this matter. At that time, Sun Xiaoyue had genuine feelings for me. Yun Zhi Yue replied, "Back then, I was focused on studying and didn't think too much about it. I genuinely believed she was in trouble and rushed over."

It was Yue Tong who noticed I was missing from home and couldn't reach me by phone. For some reason, he managed to find me. Although he wasn't talkative, he was observant and must have sensed something was off with Sun Xiaoyue.
He called the police first, but by the time they arrived, it was too late; he barged in and fought with the thugs. The outcome was predictable—being just a high school student, he got beaten badly and was left bloodied. I was so shocked I couldn't move.
Fortunately, he held on until the police arrived. I came out with only minor scrapes and some shock, but Yue Tong sustained serious injuries and needed emergency treatment.
I still don't know what my father was thinking; he didn't let me see Yue Tong and said his family took him abroad for recovery. After that, I never saw him again and had no way to contact him.
Sun Xiaoyue said the thugs knew about our close relationship and forced her to call me. She was a victim in this situation; there wasn't much she could do.
Afterward, my mother naturally wouldn't accept this outcome. She took some measures to force Sun Xiaoyue out of school and forbade me from investigating the matter further. Since it wasn't a glorious incident for our family, we kept it under wraps so no one knew about it—that's all there is to it.
Zhou Yu breathed a sigh of relief. "It's good that you're okay; that sounds truly harrowing."
Looking back, it seems Sun Xiaoyue had her own guilt to bear. Even if her mindset became unbalanced and she blamed you for losing her education by seeking revenge against you, it doesn't justify trying to kill President Wang—those two matters might not even be connected.
Yun Zhi Yue shrugged. "I don't know. When Sun Xiaoyue comes back, I'll test the waters and find out."
"Are you going? Don't you know how to be afraid? Has your brain not fully developed?" Nan Jing said coldly.
Yun Zhi Yue slammed the table, "You haven't fully developed yet. You were the ones who asked, so what do you mean by mocking me afterward? With your prominent background and good looks, there are plenty of girls who like Yu Ge. The moment you show up, they scatter like birds and beasts. Don't you realize what's going on?"
"With that pathetic mouth of yours, you'll never find a wife in this lifetime. An old bachelor, the nursing home is waiting for you."
As Nan Jingfeng's eyes blazed with anger at her, Yun Zhi Yue let out a couple of laughs and swiftly ran into her bedroom, locking the door behind her.
All that was left was an infuriated Nan Jing, his forehead veins bulging as he pounded his thigh, and Zhou Yu, who was laughing so hard he looked like he might burst.
Nan Jing glared darkly, "Is that funny?"
"Hahaha, it really is funny! Uh, I won't laugh anymore. Hahaha, sorry, I just can't help it!"
To some extent, Yun Zhi Yue wasn't entirely wrong; you really are...
Nan Jing opened his mouth to retort but quickly shot back, "Aren't you?"
