In the vast garden of the villa, Li Yunye and Jiang Chen stood ten meters apart, facing each other. Suddenly, the aura around Li Yunye retracted.
"Do you know that in our Huaxia, there is an ancient martial art that has long been lost, called the Yuqi Technique?" Li Yunye suddenly spoke.
"I haven't heard of it," Jiang Chen replied.
"Then today, I will let you witness this divine skill, the Yuqi Technique—controlling energy with spirit, transforming energy into form, and using form to kill." Li Yunye spoke slowly. As his words fell, a wave of energy surged outward from him.
Inner Energy flowed into his hands, which suddenly radiated a bright white light. With a swift motion, Li Yunye unleashed a wind blade over a meter long that sliced through the lawn towards Jiang Chen.
"This is unbelievable," Alice gasped at the sight. The ability to project Inner Energy and condense it into a wind blade could only be achieved by someone in the Divine Realm. As an ordinary person, Alice had only witnessed the most impressive feats like White fighting barehanded against lions and tigers. She had never seen such a miraculous technique as Li Yunye's, leaving her utterly astonished.
Jon Delson remained calm; his subordinate Ronnie could also condense sword energy to kill from a hundred meters away. Given that Li Yunye was the top expert of Hongmen, his abilities were not surprising.
As the Inner Energy wind blade approached Jiang Chen, he remained still. Suddenly, a green light flickered around him.
"Bang!"
The Inner Energy wind blade collided with the green aura as if it had struck an impenetrable wall, shattering and dissipating instantly.
"Your Yuqi Technique is child's play; now let me show you mine," Jiang Chen said with a faint smile. He formed his fingers into a knife and slashed downward.
With a tearing sound, it was as if the air had been split open. A green energy blade, several dozen meters long, sliced down from above.
Li Yunye was taken aback and instinctively tried to evade.
With a thunderous crash, the green energy blade struck the ground, leaving behind a chasm over a meter deep. Even with Li Yunye's Divine Realm cultivation, he was knocked off balance by the shockwave and nearly fell.
As the dust settled, what was once a lush green lawn was now left in ruins. Alice and her companions, who had been hiding in a corner, were now covered in dirt and grass. However, they were too stunned to care about their disheveled appearances; their eyes were wide open as they took in the terrifying scene before them.
Especially Alice; she felt as though her worldview had been completely shattered. Was Jiang Chen really human?
Li Yunye shook off the debris covering him, feeling somewhat embarrassed. Jiang Chen's casual display of power had left him in such disarray that it was hard to bear. In martial arts culture, face mattered most; as a senior elder of Hongmen, being so thoroughly outmatched by Jiang Chen was something he struggled to accept.
Yet Jiang Chen's strength was astonishingly beyond belief.
Li Yunye had always suspected that Jiang Chen was merely slightly stronger than Yan Xiaotian and had only barely managed to defeat him with all his might. Thus he felt confident he could contend with Jiang Chen. But now it seemed that Jiang Chen's power exceeded his imagination.
"I told you I could kill Yan Xiaotian; I can kill you too. Do you still want to fight?" Jiang Chen chuckled lightly.
Li Yunye's facial muscles twitched in anger and frustration; however, he was unwilling to concede so easily.
Now his last resort lay in the formation he had set up here.
This might be his last chance to turn the tide. Just as Li Yunye was about to activate the formation, a sudden surge of Spiritual Energy occurred. In Jiang Chen's eyes, the spirit gathering array of this villa was indeed worthless; after operating for so many years, the Spiritual Energy within the villa was like mist, barely reaching any substantial level.
