Chu Yuning spent a night at Li Qingshan's home. She picked up a Bronze Mirror, her delicate fingers gently gliding over the ancient artifact. A faint tremor resonated through her fingertips, as if something was calling out to her. 0

The Bronze Mirror had a surface that was already blurred, with intricate carvings along its edges resembling some ancient runes. 0

Her gaze fell upon the mirror's surface, and suddenly she felt a wave of dizziness, as if a strange memory was being injected into her mind. 0

"What is this..." she murmured softly, her fingers instinctively tightening around the mirror. 0

Li Qingshan stood nearby, his brow furrowed. "This is a family heirloom from the village. It's said to ward off evil spirits. Why are you interested in it?" 0

Chu Yuning did not respond; her eyes remained fixed on the mirror. 0

Within it, a blurry face seemed to emerge—a man's face, with clear features and a hint of a smile at the corners of his lips. 0

Her heart jolted as if something deep within her was awakened. 0

That man... she felt as though she knew him, perhaps even shared some profound entanglement with him. But what exactly it was eluded her grasp. 0

"Are you alright?" Li Qingshan's voice pulled her back to reality. 0

Chu Yuning lifted her head, her expression somewhat dazed. "I... I'm fine." 0

Li Qingshan studied her, concern flickering in his eyes. "You seem a bit off. Do you want to rest for a while?" 0

Chu Yuning shook her head, her fingers still gripping the Bronze Mirror tightly. 0

This artifact had triggered memories within her—though they were only fragmented pieces, they were enough to make her realize that her past was far more complex than she had imagined. 0

"I have to go," she said softly, her voice tinged with determination. 0

Li Qingshan fell silent for a moment, as if weighing something. He sighed and nodded, "Alright, I'll see you off." 0

Chu Yuning did not refuse. She knew that Li Qingshan's kindness was genuine, but she could not reveal the truth to him. 0

She was not human, and she wasn't even sure if she could still be considered a demon. 0

Her very existence was a mystery, and perhaps only she could uncover the answer. 0

The two of them walked along the mountain path, the scenery gradually becoming desolate. Chu Yuning's footsteps were light, as if each step was taken on the edge of nothingness. 0

Her thoughts lingered on the Bronze Mirror, the face of that man haunting her mind. 0

She tried to piece together more memories, but each effort felt like grasping at a wisp of smoke, slipping away in an instant. 0

"Do you... really not remember who you are?" Li Qingshan suddenly broke the silence. 0

Chu Yuning stopped and glanced back at him. Concern etched on Li Qingshan's face, his eyes filled with confusion. 0

She hesitated for a moment before whispering, "I only remember fragments. I feel like I shouldn't be here at all." 0

Li Qingshan fell silent again, seemingly contemplating her words. He stepped closer and said softly, "No matter who you are, you saved my life. You are my savior." 0

A slight tremor ran through Chu Yuning's heart. Li Qingshan's conviction brought her a sense of warmth, yet it also deepened her inner conflict. 0

She felt out of place in the human world; staying here would only bring more trouble. She had to leave and find her own answers. 0

"Thank you," she said softly, her voice barely audible. 0

The two continued walking until they reached the edge of a desolate wilderness. The distant mountains appeared especially bleak in the glow of the setting sun. 0

Chu Yuning stopped, her gaze fixed on the horizon far away. 0

"This is where we part," she turned to look at Li Qingshan. 0

A hint of reluctance crossed Li Qingshan's face. "Are you really going?" 0

Chu Yuning nodded, her fingers gently tracing the edge of her sleeve. She didn't know how to say goodbye, nor did she know if she would ever see him again. 0

"Take care," she finally said, her voice tinged with determination. 0

Li Qingshan remained silent for a moment before nodding. "You take care too." 0

Chu Yuning turned away and stepped forward, walking deeper into the wilderness. 0

Her silhouette appeared especially lonely in the fading light of the sunset. 0

Li Qingshan stood still, watching as her figure gradually disappeared at the end of the wilderness. 0
