The moonlight fell like snow, and the stars twinkled brightly. The wind rustled through the treetops, occasionally accompanied by the distant calls of birds. Turning back to glance at the dim lights of the village, Wen Sheng had just stopped when Wen Xin exclaimed to Changqing and Lin Lin, “You two are free now!”
“What’s with this girl?” Wen Ling chuckled.
“Hehe!” Wen Xin giggled, pulling her neck in playfully.
“I never expected this girl to have so many tricks up her sleeve! At first, I didn’t understand why she insisted on dragging Lin Lin along! Now I see! Haha, Changqing, you should reward her!” Lan Lan smirked.
“Let’s give her a big round of applause!” Lin Lin added with a smile.
“Is that all it takes to send me off?” Wen Xin laughed. “Today, I won’t take any tips; you two go have fun! I’ll walk them home with Er Ge.”
“Let’s walk together!” Changqing suggested shyly.
“Alright!” Lin Lin replied, tossing her hair back.
“Where to?” Lin Lin asked as she glanced at Wen Sheng and the others who were gradually walking away.
“Let’s take a stroll by the river!” Changqing suggested with a smile, reaching for Lin Lin's hand.
“Don’t! What if someone sees us?” Lin Lin blushed. Looking around to ensure no one was watching, she added, “Hurry up; there might be people on the road soon.”
“You're more anxious than I am! Haha!” Changqing teased Lin Lin with a laugh.
“Then I won’t go!” Lin Lin replied coyly.
“I was just joking! I’m more anxious than you are, alright?” Changqing said softly, exhaling playfully.
“Hmph! You boys!” Lin Lin rolled her eyes with a smile.
It wasn’t long before they reached the riverbank, taking a path that wound down from the bridge. They could hear the croaking of frogs as the water flowed gently. Green lotus leaves floated on the surface of the water, while white and pink lotus flowers opened their petals under the moonlight, revealing their golden centers. The evening breeze carried a faint fragrance that lingered in the air.
They stopped beneath a crooked willow tree where a large stone sat bathed in moonlight, appearing bright and clean. Lin Lin plopped down onto the stone and leaned against the willow tree, smiling up at them. “I’m tired!” She propped her legs up and began to massage her slender calves with delicate hands. Dressed in a light gray short skirt without stockings, her legs appeared even whiter against the slightly dim evening backdrop.
Changqing watched Lin Lin's bare arms glistening in the moonlight and felt a rush of warmth surge through him. Her figure was truly enticing! He thought to himself, feeling his lips dry and his cheeks warm. Thankfully, a gentle breeze made it somewhat bearable. Looking at Lin Lin’s delicate face that had taken on a slight flush and her soft pink lips that looked moist gave him an impression of sweetness.
He always felt that Lin Lin's body had a delightful fragrance, and his mind was filled with chaotic thoughts. Fortunately, it was nighttime, and Lin Lin didn't notice his change.
"Why aren't you talking?" Lin Lin stretched her back and tossed her hair a couple of times.
"I'm hungry!" Changqing exclaimed, his eyes drawn to the curves of Lin Lin's figure, stirring a rush of blood in him.
Changqing took a deep breath to calm himself. However, his mind was still cluttered, and his heart raced. To him, Lin Lin appeared like a tempting piece of meat—smooth and irresistible! His eyes sparkled with an intensity that seemed to pierce through her clothes.
He forced himself to regain some composure. "It's a bit warm tonight, isn't it?"
"Not at all! It's quite cool!" Lin Lin replied cheerfully.
"My head feels hot! I don't know why," Changqing said with a knowing smile, pretending to be clueless.
"Oh! Let me check!" Lin Lin reached out as if to touch him but quickly pulled back, laughing, "Ha! Almost fell for your trick!"
"Hehe!" Changqing chuckled foolishly.
Slowly, he leaned closer to Lin Lin and took her hand. She didn’t resist; she simply let him hold it. Her hand was delicate and smooth, sending tingles through Changqing. The energy within him began to rise again. The scent of Lin Lin mixed with the fragrance of Lotus Flower carried by the evening breeze further intoxicated him.
Changqing felt increasingly uncomfortable—his body was heating up, beads of sweat formed on his forehead, and his vision blurred slightly. Despite his efforts to control his emotions, the impulse surged forth like a flood.
Without thinking, he pulled Lin Lin into his embrace. Holding her tightly, he felt her softness and the enchanting scent she exuded. Though she shyly tried to break free, Changqing's grip was too strong. She felt like a lamb caught in his arms; the close contact made her aware of Changqing's warmth—certainly not one suffering from a cold or fever. Yet, as she began to feel nervous and even a bit scared, she couldn't deny her own affection for him.
"Changqing, no! Please let me go!" Lin Lin pleaded with a hint of shyness in her voice.
"Just let me hold you! Let me kiss you, okay? I love you! I really love you!" Changqing said impulsively.
"Not now! Let me go first! What's wrong with you?" Lin Lin asked, fear creeping into her tone.
"I... I..." Changqing could hardly find the words! The heat within him surged!
His arms tightened around Lin Lin even more as he desperately kissed her cheeks. She shook her head to evade him, her hair flowing in the wind.
“Please, let me go!” At that moment, Lin Lin's voice was filled with desperation.
“I want, I want…” Changqing's words were fragmented and unclear.
“No, no…” Lin Lin struggled against him.
Perhaps she was a bit impulsive; after all, people are the same. Maybe Lin Lin had her own desires too. Changqing thought wildly, tightening his hold on her. He even pushed Lin Lin down onto a nearby stone.
The wind gently blew, the drooping willow branches swayed back and forth, and the moonlight cast a hazy glow on the water's surface. Beneath the willow tree, it felt slightly darker. It was too pure here! At that moment, Lin Lin finally admitted that it was all the moon's fault! The dim moonlight and her own body had driven Changqing to madness. Was it the moonlight's haze, or was it because she was dressed too lightly?
Lin Lin struggled desperately, fear gripping her even more!
“Please let me go! Changqing!” Her voice was almost in tears.
Changqing remained silent, the fire within him igniting. He began to disregard everything, his mind clouded; all he wanted was to possess her! To possess her! To make it an irreversible situation! Lin Lin was already too weak to resist Changqing's grasp.
