The four of them stayed in the cave, watching the ship in the distance filled with soldiers. The tense atmosphere spread in the cramped space. Xiao Yun, Lian Rong, Guo Sheng, and the remaining member of the Red Flame Army held their breath, their eyes constantly scanning for any movement outside.
The Red Flame Army member calmly said, "Wait for the explosion; it should create chaos... then we will have a chance to escape. Be ready at all times!"
Guo Sheng is a bit flustered and tremblingly says, "What about that person?" His gaze falls on the body of the Red Flame Army floating on the sea, filled with sadness and guilt.
The person from Red Flame Army responds calmly, "We all know the danger of this operation and are prepared to face the worst outcome. Now, the most important thing is to complete the mission and survive." He takes a deep breath, his eyes shining with determination, "We can only do this for now."
Xiao Yun and Lian Rong also looked out at the sea, seeing the sacrificed member of the Red Flame Army, their hearts filled with heavy emotions. They knew that the success of this mission came at a cost of sacrifice, which made them more determined to continue the fight.
" Guo Sheng, we cannot let his sacrifice be in vain," Xiao Yun said softly, "We must persevere and complete this mission."
Guo Sheng nodded, trying hard to calm himself down. He took a deep breath and said, "You're right, we must persevere."
The four of them waited nervously, silently counting the time in their hearts. They knew that the moment the explosives went off would be their best chance to escape. The tension in the tunnel was suffocating, but they all silently prepared, waiting for that moment to arrive.
Suddenly, a loud explosion came from a distance, causing the entire ship to shake. Flames and thick smoke quickly rose, and the soldiers panicked and ran around, trying to put out the fire. The explosion caused a huge chaos, just as the Red Flame Army had anticipated, giving them a chance to escape.
"Now's the time!" shouted the Red Flame Army member. "Let's go!"
Four people immediately jumped into the water again, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the fire and explosions, desperately swimming towards the nearby sandy shore. The cold seawater kept hitting their bodies, every inch of their skin enduring the invasion of cold and fatigue, but they didn't stop, with only one goal in mind - to escape. The sounds of explosions and the shouts of soldiers were muffled by the seawater, but they knew time was running out and they had to leave as soon as possible.
Xiao Yun felt the icy seawater penetrating her bones, but she continued to swim desperately towards the shore. She glimpsed Guo Sheng and Lian Rong also exerting all their strength, their eyes shining with determination. Members of the Red Flame Army led them ahead, guiding the way.
Finally, the four of them reached the sandy shore and clumsily crawled onto the beach. They were panting and exhausted, each breath feeling like it drained all their strength. Xiao Yun lay on the sand, feeling as if all her energy had been siphoned away, but she knew they were safe for the time being.
The group struggled to stand up and looked towards the nearby second pier. The entire dock was in chaos, with soldiers running around trying to extinguish the flames and rescue their comrades. The target ship had slowly sunk into the water amidst the flames, thick smoke billowing up, and the fire reflecting on the surface of the water created a particularly tragic scene.
"We did it," gasped Guo Sheng, with a hint of relief and satisfaction in his eyes. He wiped the water droplets off his face, feeling the cold sea breeze hitting his face, which helped him to sober up a bit.
A member of the Red Flame Army spoke firmly, "This is just the first step. We cannot let our guard down; there is still much to be done." He glanced at the distant pier and said in a deep voice, "Once the chaos settles a bit, we need to leave here and rush back to report."
Xiao Yun and Lian Rong also stood up, although they were soaked through, their hearts were filled with a sense of accomplishment and hope. They knew that the success of this operation was just a small step in the resistance movement, but it was a crucial one. They would continue to fight until the final victory.
"We must go back to report and prepare for the next step of action," Xiao Yun said firmly, with a determined gleam in her eyes.
Four people were about to disappear into the night when suddenly, a low growling voice came from behind: "No need to report! You scoundrels!" They turned around abruptly and saw a sergeant in full armor standing on the ground, with soldiers lined up neatly behind him in the dim firelight, looking particularly stern.
The four were shocked to find that their next move had been anticipated. The sergeant laughed and said, "Ha! What's wrong? Didn't expect to be caught, did you? The elite of the Shadow Guard have been here for a while, just to stop the expansion of your Red Flame Army... The Shadow Guard truly foresaw this, and immediately arranged for us to wait for you here... Although we didn't stop you from blowing up the ship, capturing you is still a good deal!"
Xiao Yun, Guo Sheng, Lian Rong, and the members of Red Flame Army looked at each other, filled with unease and anger. They knew that the officers and soldiers in front of them were not just simple opponents, but a carefully arranged part of the Shadow Guard.
"We are surrounded," Guo Sheng said in a low voice, clenching his fists, his eyes flashing with unwillingness and despair.

Xiao Yun nodded, feeling tense, but she knew she had to stay calm. She took a deep breath and said, "We can only give it our all."
The officer laughed heartily as he walked forward, waving his hand and ordering the soldiers to surround them. His eyes were filled with the joy of victory: "You have nowhere to escape, surrender obediently!"
Xiao Yun and Lian Rong were exhausted, with no strength or ability to continue fighting. Their breathing was rapid, their legs ached, and they could barely stand. Guo Sheng was equally weary, hands trembling, eyes filled with fear and unease. Members of the Red Flame Army quickly drew their daggers, their gaze cold and resolute.
He whispered to the three of them, "Find the right opportunity to escape quickly, don't waste your lives!"
His hands trembled more visibly, and his gaze kept wandering between the members of the Red Flame Army and the oncoming soldiers. The Red Flame Army member whispered again, "Listen to my command... three... two... one!"
At the moment he counted "one," the soldiers surged up, attempting to encircle them. A member of the Red Flame Army suddenly pulled out a smoke bomb and threw it fiercely to the ground. Instantly, thick smoke quickly spread out, obscuring the view.
"Run!" someone from the Red Flame Army shouted in a low voice, filled with urgency and determination.
Xiao Yun, Lian Rong, and Guo Sheng desperately pushed forward under the cover of smoke. Their hearts were pounding like thunder, with the sounds of soldiers coughing and chaotic shouting in their ears. In the midst of the smoke, their vision became blurry, but they knew this was their only chance to escape.
Xiao Yun gritted his teeth, enduring his body's fatigue, and pulled Lian Rong and Guo Sheng through the smoke. They retreated step by step, their footsteps sounding particularly clear in the darkness.
The smoke gradually dispersed, and the surroundings became clearer. Xiao Yun turned around and saw members of the Red Flame Army still fighting in the smoke, buying time for the soldiers. Her heart was filled with gratitude and pain, but she knew it was not the time to hesitate.
"Run! We can't stop!" Xiao Yun urged Guo Sheng and Lian Rong in a low voice, determination shining in her eyes.
