After a while, a cart full of books was finally unloaded amidst Yang Qianfan's inner complaints. He straightened up, panting and wiping the sweat off his forehead. Looking around for a moment, he noticed that Li Lingfei was nowhere to be found. A sudden alarm shot through him, and he couldn't help but let his imagination run wild: "Could it be that Li Lingfei saw me laughing with this Dwarf Winter Melon and got jealous, running off?" 0

The more he thought about it, the more anxious he became. After exchanging a quick greeting with Zhu Hui, he hurriedly left. However, he had barely taken two steps when Zhu Hui called out to him from behind. 0

"Hey, you haven't told me your name yet!" Zhu Hui shouted. 0

Out of politeness, Yang Qianfan turned around and loudly told her his name before quickly turning back and running towards the school's large playground. 0

After searching around the entire campus, he finally found Li Lingfei sitting dazedly on the stone steps beside a basketball court in the western area of the school. She was staring blankly at a group of younger boys playing basketball, as if lost in thought. Relieved to have found her at last, Yang Qianfan rushed over and sat down next to her, spreading his limbs out as he complained, "Why did you come here? I searched for you everywhere!" 0

"Wow, did you finish moving the books so quickly?" Li Lingfei asked with a smile. 0

"Yeah, I nearly exhausted myself doing it," Yang Qianfan replied, wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead. 0

"If moving books for a while has you worn out, then Zhu Hui must have gone through several rounds of labor after moving books all morning," Li Lingfei teased him playfully. 0

"How do you know her name is Zhu Hui?" Yang Qianfan exclaimed, wide-eyed with surprise. 0

"She's the class monitor of Sophomore Class 4 and also the Vice President of the student council; she's quite well-known. Who doesn't recognize her?" Li Lingfei glanced at him dismissively and added with a laugh, "It's actually strange that you don't know her!" 0

"Whether she's famous or not is irrelevant; I'm not interested in her affairs right now," Yang Qianfan said as he shifted closer to Li Lingfei, shyly adding, "You should know how kind-hearted I am! About what I mentioned earlier..." He trailed off, breaking into an awkward smile. 0

Li Lingfei couldn't help but chuckle at his silly expression. She pointed at the boys playing basketball on the court and said, "My standards for choosing a boyfriend aren't just about whether he has a good heart; I also need to see how well he plays basketball!" 0

"I thought your requirements for a boyfriend would be much higher. I may not be good at other things, but I'm an excellent basketball player!" Yang Qianfan patted his chest, boasting. 0

"That's not enough. The school's autumn sports meeting is next week. If you can lead your class to win first place in the basketball tournament, I'll agree to date you," Li Lingfei said, resting her chin on her hand and smiling sweetly at him. 0

"Ah, what...?" Yang Qianfan frowned, looking troubled. "With those useless guys in our class, winning a match with them is just a pipe dream." 0

"What's wrong? If you can't do it, then forget it." Li Lingfei scoffed dismissively and stood up as if to leave. 0

Seeing her disdainful attitude made Yang Qianfan furious. He jumped up from the ground, raised his fist, and declared with determination, "No way! Even if I'm the only one from our class on the court, I can still win the championship in this basketball tournament. Just wait and see!" 0

Li Lingfei turned back and found his resolute expression quite endearing. She couldn't help but smile and nodded slightly, "Alright! I'll be waiting to see your performance on the court." However, as she glanced at the group of boys playing basketball in the distance, an inexplicable pang of sadness washed over her. At that moment, she suddenly thought of Wang Yuhan—how she had secretly admired him and remembered how serious he had been when teaching her to play basketball. His earnest gaze seemed forever etched in her mind, making her reminisce and feel a lingering heartache. She sighed softly and thought to herself, "How wonderful it would be if the person confessing to me right now was Wang Yuhan!" 0
